Travel Policy

Gray Day Flower Farm is based in Weiser, Idaho.

Local garden consultation pricing includes travel within 20 miles of Weiser. This may include nearby areas such as Payette, Fruitland, Ontario, and surrounding rural communities.

Locations outside the local service area may require a travel fee based on distance and drive time.

Boise-area consultations are offered as a separate package with travel already included. This includes Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, and nearby surrounding areas.

Virtual garden consultations are available for anyone outside the service area or for those who prefer a lower-cost option.

Scheduling & Rescheduling Policy

After purchase, I will contact you to schedule your consultation.

Because garden consultations require reserved time, preparation, and possible travel planning, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule.

Consultations may be rescheduled due to severe weather, illness, unsafe travel conditions, or other unexpected circumstances.

If weather makes an on-site visit difficult, we may choose to reschedule or move the consultation to a virtual format.

Missed appointments or same-day cancellations may not be eligible for rescheduling or refund.

Refund Policy

Garden consultation purchases reserve time on my schedule and may include preparation, planning, and travel coordination.

Consultations are non-refundable once the appointment has been scheduled. However, they may be rescheduled when appropriate with at least 24 hours’ notice.

If you need to cancel before your appointment has been scheduled, please contact me as soon as possible.

If an in-person consultation needs to be transferred to a virtual consultation, the following policy applies:

More than 48 hours before the appointment:

A partial refund or shop credit may be offered at the discretion of Gray Day Flower Farm.

Within 48 hours of the appointment:

The consultation may be transferred to virtual, but no partial refund will be issued.

If Gray Day Flower Farm must move the appointment to virtual due to weather, illness, or unsafe travel conditions:

You may choose to reschedule the in-person visit or transfer to a virtual consultation. If transferred to virtual, any partial refund or credit will be handled case by case depending on preparation and travel already reserved.

This policy helps keep consultation pricing fair while honoring the time, planning, and travel involved.

FAQ

Do I need a big yard to book a consultation?

No. These consultations are designed for real-life spaces. Raised beds, patios, containers, small yards, flower beds, herb gardens, and beginner gardens all count.

What if I am brand new to gardening?

That is completely welcome. These consultations are beginner-friendly and designed to help you feel less overwhelmed. We will focus on simple, realistic next steps.

What can you help me with?

I can help with garden layout ideas, plant suggestions, flower gardens, herbs, beginner vegetable gardens, raised beds, containers, watering questions, sun exposure, soil basics, and creating a more intentional micro-homestead rhythm.

Do you install gardens or do the physical planting?

These consultations are for guidance, planning, and coaching. They do not include physical labor, installation, hauling materials, weeding, or planting unless a separate service agreement is made.

What areas do you serve?

Gray Day Flower Farm is based in Weiser, Idaho. Local consultations include travel within 20 miles of Weiser. Boise-area consultations are available as a separate package with travel included. Virtual consultations are available for anyone outside the service area.

What happens after I purchase?

After purchase, I will contact you to schedule your consultation. For virtual consultations, I will also send instructions for submitting photos or videos of your space.

How long does it take to receive my written plan?

For consultations that include a written plan, you can expect your plan within approximately 5–7 business days after your visit.

What should I have ready before my consultation?

It is helpful to think about what you want from your space, what you have tried before, what feels overwhelming, and what you would love to grow. For virtual consultations, photos and short videos are very helpful.

Can I gift a garden consultation?

Yes. A garden consultation can make a thoughtful gift for someone who wants to start or improve their garden. The appointment can be scheduled after purchase.

What if I am not sure which consultation to choose?

Choose the Garden Consultation + Written Plan if you want a solid starting point. Choose the Micro-Homestead Garden Plan if you want deeper support with flowers, herbs, food growing, and a more complete seasonal rhythm. Choose Virtual if you are outside the service area or want a lower-cost option.
